David Zysk
A devoted advocate for those in recovery and a champion for the most vulnerable in our community...
David A. Zysk, Jr. was a dedicated and beloved staff member of Preble Street Resource Center of Portland. He died unexpectedly on Nov. 8, 2015.
David was kind, a sensitive listener, and a tireless advocate for change for those suffering from substance abuse. David worked with clients and staff at Preble Street for almost three years with incredible positive energy and treated everyone with dignity and respect.
For many years, David struggled with Substance Use Disorder. Through these struggles he made a commitment to help others recover.
One of David’s goals was to change policies and public perception with people with Health disparities and drug addiction.
David was a good man. He used his experience as a person in recovery to make genuine human connections with people he served. David’s spirit has begun a new journey. . . We will miss and love him
